A kids protein shake for picky eaters, good eaters, and even the non eaters.

This Recipe has been tested and approved by them all.

"Tricking your child"

No one wats to deceive their child, but sometimes we have to bedazzle the truth a little to make ideas more palatable.

Getting our kids to eat a balanced diet can be a challenge for most of us.  So we have to be creative in getting them to eat good healthy meals/ snacks.

I am not saying you have to lie.....just maybe leave out some details LOL.

My kids are really excited to get their "Chocolate Milkshake" every morning, but if i said "here's your protein shake" made the exact same way, they would not even try it.  It would be tears of disgust that I would try to POISON them.  So I jazz up the description a little bit and they love it.

It's a Win Win.

Kids Chocolate Banana Protein Smoothie

Why is this recipe for kids?  What sets it apart from any smoothie being a kids smoothie?

The protein I use is made specifically for kids.

1st Phorm Opti-Kids has 6 grams of protein, greens, antioxidents, & probiotics to help their little bellies stay happy.

Recipe

Ingredients

6 oz unsweetened almond milk

1/2 c whole milk vanilla yogurt (not greek as it is very bitter)

1 frozen banana

1 scoop Opti-Kids Chocolate Milkshake Protein

Instructions

Combine all ingredients in a blender (I use the Ninja Foodie Smoothie Bowl Maker)

Blend thoroughly

Serve

Opti-Kids Available at Brick & Iron Cafe

Opti-Kids is available at our Brick and Mortar location in Downtown Ocala, Florida.

About the author

Health and wellness has always been a very important part of my life. As a competitive swimmer from grade school through college I spent a lot of time educating myself on how to eat for performance. In College I swam the mile so I really had to focus on nutrition and peak performance. Now I still continue to swim and have added CrossFit to my resume.

After college I spent 20 years working with horses. Delivering over 500 foals (baby horses for those of you not from Ocala LOL) in my career and many long hours only confirmed how important proper nutrition is to staying healthy and on top of your game.

After my middle child was born with Down Syndrome, nutrition and health became my focus because now I have to make sure I can care for her for as long as I possibly can.

Now I love being able to bring my knowledge, experiences, and guidance to you. Whether you are local to Ocala, FL or not, I want to help you to be the healthiest, happiest, and best version of you possible.
